First Conference in over a Year – SER was a Good One!

Having gone the longest stretch without attending a conference in the past 30 years, The Securities Expert Roundtable annual meeting was a great one to come back to. Our president and CEO, John Foster, spoke on a panel with a quite interesting topic, the Democratization of Securities. The panel discussed recent challenges the markets experienced when social media and zero commission trading clashed with maintaining orderly markets.  

Held in Washington DC in September 2021, John also commented that while the FINRA updates, the whistle-blowing panel, and social media discussions were all interesting, it was also just refreshing to once again have some sense of normalcy and a chance to interact with industry friends and professionals.

John noted that the Securities Expert Roundtable unites expert witnesses from all aspects of the financial services industry. This year’s conference once again proved to be a great opportunity to expand his professional network while keeping in touch with current events within the securities expert witness arena.
